Spectator Information

Who can come to watch?

We kindly ask that no more than 2 spectators per player attend games.  Our facility will only have seating for 24 Spectators.  Anyone else who wants to watch may do so through our live stream link found HERE.

Who needs to wear a mask and when?

All spectators/players entering the building must wear a mask.  Coaches/Players are welcome to remove masks once their warm up time begins. We asked that spectators keep their masks on at all times.

How early can we arrive?

You may enter the building 10 minutes before game time.  This will give teams playing before you time to exit the building and us time to clean common contact surfaces before your arrival.

SPECTATOR RULES:

RULES AND CLOCK:

  • NFHS rules will be enforced with the following exceptions:

  • All teams will play (2) 16 minute halves with the clock stopping the last 2 minutes of the 2nd half.

  • In the case of an overtime situation both teams will shoot free throws.  Any player on the court may shoot the overtime free throws. All in-game players will line up, like in the case of a technical foul, each team will shoot a free throw.  This is not a sudden death situation.  If Team-A makes their free throw then Team-B will get to shoot a free throw.  If Team-B misses then Team-A wins.  If both teams make the free throw they will shoot again until someone misses.

  • Warm-up will be 5 minutes for pre-game and 2 minute half time.

  • If a team is late to a game the clock starts at game time. You play whatever time is left in your game when you arrive.  If the team arrives before half time the tardy team will be assessed a 1 point penalty per minute they are late.  The tardy team forfeits if they have not arrived by the start of the 2nd half.

  • Each team gets 4 time outs per game. The timeout length will be 30 seconds.

  • Fouls

    • NO PLAYER CAN FOUL OUT. Player fouls will not be totaled.

    • Single Bonus will start at 10 fouls.  No Double Bonus.  One Shot for 2 points.

    • One free throw for 2 points awarded on shooting fouls inside the arc and one free throw for 3 points on shooting fouls outside the arc.

    • And 1 - One free throw will be given for one point only.

  • 5th grade and up will use 29.5 inch balls.  4th grade and under will use 28.5 inch balls.  This rule can be altered if both opposing teams coaches agree to the same size ball.

  • The back wall where half-court would be is out of bounds.  All other lines are drawn on the floors.

CLEARING AND CHECKING RULES

  • Any defensive rebound or change of possession must be cleared.  Cleared means the team who got the defensive rebound must take the ball back behind the 3pt line before making an attempt to score.  Two feet must be behind the 3pt to be considered cleared.

  • In the event a team does not clear the ball and they score.  The points will not count and the defensive team will receive possession.

  • There are 2 circles on the floor, 1 at the left 45, and 1 at the right 45.  These circles are where the ball is checked in.  ALL dead balls must be inbounded from here.

  • You do not need to pass to play.  Once the referee gives a player the ball on the 45 circle the ball is in play.

COACHES

  • Schedules will be posted on our website under the "League" category.  Schedules will be live at midnight the Wednesday before the league begins. End of the season tournament schedule will be live at midnight the Wednesday before the tournament begins.

  • No more than 2 coaches allowed on the bench during a game.

  • Coaches will be held to the highest standard of conduct.  Failure to follow the agreement will mean disciplinary action taken against you and your players.  If a coach is thrown out of a game, they will not be allowed to coach for the remainder of the league.   No Refunds will be issued.

  • If a coach receives a technical during a game the seatbelt rule must be observed (Coach must stay seated from that point forward to avoid a 2nd technical.)

AWARDS

  • Team Awards - Only one team will be crowned Champion.  In the real world 2nd place is not given a trophy.  This is a philosophy adults live by and is a good life lesson. Therefore, we only give out one award to the winner in each division.

  • During league play and the tournament, winners are decided by win/loss record first, head to head, and point differential last.

  • MVP Awards - This is voted on by RBC staff and referees only.  Each division will have one MVP given out at the end of the tournament.
